Mon, 13 November 2006 We're releasing episode 9 a little early this week since both Frank and Beans will be otherwise engaged over the next few days - we wanted avoid just skipping an episode, so we figured moving this one up a few days wouldn't hurt... We should be back on our regular Thursday schedule for episode 10 on November 23rd! One special note for this week's podcast: Beans had a lot of trouble with the background music and apologies to Burney Warren for allowing a hint of said background track-age to seep through while playing "When You Talk Like That."
![]() Meet Zell Bent, Sid-less Nacy and Buns 'n' Roses from Memphis Roller Derby! Frank and Beans learn about Roller Derby; myspace takes away indie band, Bones, myspace page and gives it to Fox Network's TV show "Bones" - then, Myspace Tom gives it back! Beans runs through a list of really bad website URL's (courtesy of mistupid.com); 6 degrees of Roller Derby bacon; Beans successfully gets through the show without using the "D" word, but Frank doesn't; there will be beer and kids at the roller derby bout - you can drink a beer while your kids (under 17) can hang out with derby girl-babysitters; the first ever rap act on Not Another Locals' Show reminds the guys of the time when Frank tried to teach Beans how to rap; you too can join the Memphis Roller Derby league - even if you don't want to skate! Frank gets new talent by "falling upon" them; pulses are optional for the guys; if you're a local band, get out and play; is "extra patchouli" ever a good thing? Roofies give you that warm and fuzzy feeling late at night, just like the creepy guy laughing on our outro music...

The in-flight movie has been replaced with episode number 8, featuring six original songs from Midsouth artists... This is Captain Beans; on behalf of co-pilot Frank and Fat Sam (the wonder dog), we hope you have a good flight!
Sally T and Dan are in the house; enormous plate of Neil's Nachos save the night; hot sauce lip stick; some countries register Not Another Local's Show listeners as dissdents; Metaprod = Metaether (that's George Galloway...he's a member of Brit parliament...he has been an active politician in defense of Iraq (or the effects of our policies, better put) since the first gulf war...he was investigated during our Senate's oil-for-food investigation...what you hear on the track is part of his deposition while sitting before our politicians, basically readin' 'em the riot act about their own responsibilities... ); all about mail order brides; a request for Chelsea; Frank is a "humorous slant;" farting can save you if/when you're stranded on a deserted island; Beans offer to buy a beer for anyone (at his favorite drinking establishment) who emails him about using the word "disporportionate," in next week's episode; rants about dog breed enthusiasts but Beans doesn't quite catch on; homes away from home.
